Terms and conditions

By placing an order with Costa Cheese, you declare that you have taken note of and agree to these terms and conditions.

Identification of the seller

Costa Cheese is a trade name of Milan Stolwijk, acting as a self-employed individual (autónomo), established at Carrer Eduard Grieg 1, 03738 Jávea (Alicante), Spain, with NIE/NIF: Z3569469N.

For any questions, you can contact us via info@costacheese.es.

1. Product information

We take great care to present our products as clearly and honestly as possible.
Our cheeses are natural products and are cut by hand. As a result, small differences in shape, texture, color and weight may occur. These variations are inherent to artisanal products and do not constitute a defect.

Product images are for illustrative purposes only. Depending on screen settings, colors and details may slightly differ from the delivered product.

2. Prices and payments

All prices shown include IVA, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Payments are processed through secure and reliable payment methods, such as credit card, PayPal and other payment options offered during checkout.

A contract is concluded at the moment the payment has been successfully completed and confirmed by us.

3. Shipping and delivery

Orders placed on working days before 9:00AM are generally processed the same day. This is an obligation of effort and not a guarantee.

Delivery takes place via recognized carriers. Delivery times are indicative and may vary due to circumstances beyond our control, such as carrier delays, weather conditions or logistical disruptions.

After delivery of the order, the risk and responsibility for proper storage and handling pass to the customer.

We deliver within the regions indicated by us. If a postal code falls outside our delivery area, we reserve the right to cancel the order or offer an alternative delivery or collection option.

4. Returns and hygiene policy

Due to hygiene and food safety regulations, cheese and other perishable food products cannot be returned or refunded once they have been shipped.

We ask you to check your order immediately upon receipt. If an order is damaged, defective or incorrectly delivered, please report this as soon as possible (preferably within 24 hours) via info@costacheese.es, stating the order number and including clear photos of the issue.

5. Right of withdrawal

According to European consumer legislation, the consumer generally has the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days.

However, this right of withdrawal does not apply to perishable goods or products with a limited shelf life, such as cheese (Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU).

6. Hand-cut products & weight tolerance

All our cheeses are cut by hand. This may result in a weight deviation of up to ±10%.
The agreed price is based on the weight category selected at checkout and remains unchanged in the event of such deviation.

This deviation is considered a normal and acceptable part of artisanal production.

7. Complaints and service

If something unexpectedly goes wrong with your order, please contact us within the indicated timeframe.
We carefully assess each report and always aim to find a reasonable and appropriate solution, such as replacement or (partial) refund, where applicable.

8. Liability

Costa Cheese is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, missed savings, loss of enjoyment or damage resulting from improper storage or handling of the products after delivery.

Our liability is limited to the amount of the relevant order, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

9. Force majeure

Costa Cheese shall not be obliged to fulfill its obligations if this is prevented by force majeure, including but not limited to disruptions with carriers, extreme weather conditions, pandemics, government measures or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

10. Applicable law

These terms and conditions are governed by Spanish law, with due regard to applicable European consumer legislation.

Disputes will preferably be resolved amicably. If this is not possible, disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Spain.
